Your weight-loss journey at the St. Elizabeth Physicians Weight Management Center begins with a free information session. You must attend or view the information session for your chosen program prior to your first appointment, so that you come in with the knowledge you need to discuss program options with your physician. What is Obesity?

Obesity is when your weight is higher than what is considered as a healthy weight for a given height.  One of the ways it can be measured is by determining your Body Mass Index. Body Mass Index, or BMI, is a measure of your body fat based on your height and your weight. BMI is also one of the key qualifiers for determining weight loss options you may be eligible for.

  • Underweight is BMI <18.5
  • Healthy Weight is 18.5 – 24.9
  • Overweight is 25 – 29.9
  • Obese is 30+
